Overview:
To gain the skills, knowledge, and expertise to be considered a successful Deli/Bakery ManagerTo supervise and ensure that Lowes Foods guest service, merchandising programs, and departmental operations are maintained in the deli/bakery department to achieve maximum salesAssume the duties of the Department Manager in their absence
Responsibilities:
1Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the deli/bakery department staff2Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the deli/bakery department3Maintain desired level of inventory and supplies4Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs5Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Lowes Foods standards6Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Lowes Foods standards7Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to ensure deli/bakery department hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards8Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as necessary to achieve standards9Maintain departments labor budget and scheduling standards10Performs PA announcements11Performs all other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
1Friendly, outgoing personality2Ability to work well with others3Ability to lift 25 lbsconsistently and 50 lbsoccasionally4Ability to read and understand information and direction5Knowledge of deli operations6Ability to supervise people including training and development7Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job8Effective communication, guest service and selling skills9Must be at least 18 years old10Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time11Ability to effectively communicate with the Store Manager and Merchandiser12Ability to work well with computers#LI-KG1 Recommended Skills Communication Courtesy Curiosity Friendliness Merchandising Team Working Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
